As of February 2026, The River Company has concluded operations following the sale of our business to three respected Upper Main Salmon outfitters in Stanley.

After careful consideration, and with changes to our real estate circumstances, we felt this was the right time to pass the work forward locally. We are confident the river will remain in capable hands with operators who know it well and care deeply about its future.

To our guests — thank you for trusting us with your time on the water. Sharing the river with you has been a privilege. The memories created on those rivers will stay with us.

The River Company was built season by season by the people who showed up, rigged boats in the early mornings and late evenings, and delivered remarkable experiences with integrity.

The greatest privilege of operating The River Company was witnessing our team set the bar for excellence on the river. We are grateful for your friendship and the great times we enjoyed together.
