About The River Company and David and Heather Denning
Both natives of Salt Lake City, Utah, David and Heather Denning never actually met until the year 2000 when both were guiding on the Salmon River in Idaho. Between the two of them they have over 25 years of rafting experience on rivers throughout the United States and South America.
In 2005 they added a little rafter to their family (Miles Samuel) and decided that operating The River Company would enable them to stay close to the river and use all of their combined skills together. Along with rafting, David’s background is in marketing and advertising and Heather’s is in event planning, environmental education and non-profit management.
After 17 years of operating The River Company, former owners Olivia James and Erasmo Paolo were ready to move on to other things. David and Heather purchased the company in 2006 and with the continued support of Olivia and Erasmo are looking forward to their second season as Owner/Operators.
